Brown Mountain Lodge is beautiful peaceful and like a small piece of heaven. Quiet and relaxing. Beautiful walking trails. House is very clean and fully stocked for all your needs. Perfect vacation home for your four legged family member. Plenty of space to run and play! Just a small trip into town and shopping. Living room and fireplace very comfy and cozy! Firewood available. Outdoor deck and grill are fantastic. Plenty of room for the whole family! Homeowners very friendly and very helpful!
We would recommend the Brown Mountain Lodge to anyone that would ask us for a place that is pet friendly, clean, quiet and best of all - relaxing and restful.
Jeff has a great home in a peaceful location. Our family had a great weekend getaway and only wish we had more time to stay and enjoy.
Jeff takes great care in providing his guests with every possible convenience to make sure you are comfortable and secure. We enjoyed just sitting on the deck with our dogs and seeing nothing but trees and hearing nothing but the water rushing from the stream. Jeff has a swing that overlooks a small waterfall to the right and a calm tranquil pond to the left. Daily walks are encouraged and even when we had a routine down, there was always something new to experience. All rooms are spacious and yet cozy! And if you need to watch TV, Jeff placed one in almost every room!
What an incredible time we had at BML! It was one of our most memorable vacations. Truly a much needed - 'offline vacation' where we got to spend true quality time with our kids - 10 and 2. The house is comfortable, well-appointed, and spacious. The property is stunning with a barn, horse shoe pit, bonfire pit, and even a tree swing! Our favorite place was hanging out in the Crows Nest - the covered deck w/ rocking chairs, swing, hammock, grills, and fire pit to roast marshmellows! The shallow cascading ponds right off the main deck were absolutely wonderful. Our dog having never swam before jumped right in! The depth was perfect for our 2 yr old. Nearby you'll find Wilson Creek gorge area and so many wonderful trails and waterfalls. The owners have provided all kinds of great info and places to visit - so you won't miss anything as a first time visitor. My only complaint is that we didn't have two weeks!! We absolutely loved it and will be looking forward to being able to visit again. You won't be disappointed!

If you are looking for an escape from the every day hustle & bustle, you must come here. The only noise you'll hear is the rushing water from the creek below the house. We stayed for a week, & only went into town twice with all there is to explore & see on Brown Mountain. We brought our 2 dogs as well, & have never seem them have so much fun in nature as they led the way on hikes & swam in every waterfall & creek they found. We are already planning our next trip. Such a unique & affordable vacation overall.
